Fuerteventura
Birdwatch is operated by Derek Bradbury. He
and his wife Jean base themselves in the
village of
El Cotillo when resident on the Island and have been holiday visitors
to the Island
2 to 3 times a year for almost 20 years, (are sometimes called part-time residents).
Derek retired early in 2002 due to ill health, and now visits
the Island
for longer
periods because of the temperate climate. Derek and Jean have lived
in the countryside all
their lives, have been contributors to many conservation groups,
and are active in all aspects of conservation works and countryside
management.
